Mission
- To advance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia (CLTI) through collaboration, education, and research.
- To improve outcomes for patients with CLTI by promoting interdisciplinary care, identifying best practices, and advocating for policies that enhance access to care.
- Committed to reducing the burden of disease for individuals affected by CLTI and working towards a future where every patient receives timely and appropriate care
Goals
- SAL-VAGE aims to raise funding, administered through the Vascular Foundation
- Raise awareness of PAD/CLTI aiming to minimise major limb amputation
- Education GPs and other relevant practitioners on PAD/CLTI
- Providing the general public with easily accessible information on PAD/CLTI
- Website/QR Codes/Media Opportunities (TV/Radio/Advertisements/Charity Runs etc)/ Save Legs Month etc.
- Improve data accuracy and availability on PAD/CLTI/Major limb amputation
- Aid in research
- Implementation of Guidelines in Australia and Aoteoroa New Zealand
- Improve delivery and provision of care in each of our regions
