Webinar tutorials began for all SET 1-4 trainees in 2020.
Tutorials rotate through different weekdays (Mon-Thurs), 19:00-20:00 AEST (16:00 Perth, 18:30 Adelaide, 21:00 NZ).
Two clinical scenarios/topics (15min trainee presentation, 15min group discussion) are covered in each tutorial. Trainees are allocated tutorial topics at the start of each year to prepare and present to the group. A Board member and Supervisor help to facilitate the discussion within the tutorial.
Supervisors are made aware of these tutorials at start of each year and trainees should be relieved from clinical duties to ensure they can attend.
Participation in 80% of tutorials is mandatory. Tutorials are recorded so trainees, IMGs, Supervisors and Trainers can revise the tutorials at a later date, but this does not equate to participation.
