Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery
The Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery (ANZSVS), founded in 2001, is the peak vascular surgery organisation in Australia and New Zealand.
The ANZSVS is a membership based organisation that supports and promotes vascular surgery through its members services and Vascular Foundation. Under a partnering agreement with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the ANZSVS administers the Surgical Education and Training Program in Australia and New Zealand.
Training and Education
The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) is the principal body for the training and education of surgeons in Australia and New Zealand.
RACS collaborates with the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery, as an agent of RACS, to administer the Surgical Education and Training (SET) program.
The Board of Vascular Surgery has oversight for the conduct of the SET training program in Vascular Surgery, reporting to the Board of Surgical Education and Training.
